Nancy Guthrie Investigators Have Found Additional Images from Cameras on Property: Report<\/h1>\n

Last seen alive on the night of Jan. 31, Nancy Guthrie is believed to have been taken against her will in the early morning hours of Feb. 1<\/p>\n

The FBI has recovered more images from cameras at the Arizona home of\u00a0Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0co-host\u00a0Savannah Guthrie\u00a0who has been missing since Feb 1, sources close to the investigation told\u00a0ABC News.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, the FBI was able to recover thumbnail images from motion-activated cameras pointed at the backyard, side yard and swimming pool on Nancy\u2019s property, the sources told ABC News.<\/p>\n

However, the cameras did not record anything suspicious and did not capture footage from the night of Nancy\u2019s abduction, the sources told ABC News.<\/p>\n

On Friday, March 13, the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department said that it \u201ccontinues to analyze various forms of evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case, including material from laboratories as well as images and videos captured by cameras.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, we will not comment on the details or status of this analysis,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0NBC News\u00a0on Thursday, March 12,\u00a0Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos\u00a0warned that the suspect in Nancy\u2019s disappearance could strike again.<\/p>\n

He said investigators believe Nancy was \u201ctargeted,\u201d but aren\u2019t sure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019d be silly to tell people, \u2018Don\u2019t worry about it. You\u2019re not his target.\u2019 You could be,\u201d Nanos said, referring to her apparent kidnapper.<\/p>\n

Her family called 911 at 12:03 p.m. on Feb. 1, after the mother of three failed to join friends to watch a virtual church service that morning.<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Office, later joined by the FBI, launched a massive investigation into Nancy\u2019s disappearance, saying they believed she\u00a0was taken against her will.<\/p>\n

In one sobering announcement, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that blood spatter found on the front porch belonged to Nancy.<\/p>\n

Even more chilling were Nest camera\u00a0surveillance photos and video footage\u00a0authorities released showing a masked, armed man on Nancy\u2019s front porch in the early morning hours of Feb. 1.<\/p>\n

The FBI Phoenix office shared\u00a0additional details describing the suspect\u00a0as \u201ca male, approximately 5\u20199\u201d \u2013 5\u201910\u201d tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter \u2018Ozark Trail Hiker Pack\u2019 backpack\u201d that may have been purchased at Walmart.<\/p>\n

Investigators disclosed that Guthrie\u2019s doorbell camera was disconnected\u00a0at 1:47 a.m., local time. Shortly after, at 2:12 a.m., the camera detected a dark figure walking toward the house. Sixteen minutes later, at 2:28 a.m., Guthrie\u2019s pacemaker was disconnected from the pacemaker app on her cellphone, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement tracked down hundreds of leads, detaining several people for questioning and testing DNA found inside Nancy\u2019s home, but finding no matches.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0an update on Friday, Feb. 27,\u00a0the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department stated, \u201cThis remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted.\u201d It also claimed the department \u201cis refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n
